Contrary to the previous reviews, I have never had a bad experience with the Shepherd post office. The people at the counter are very personable and they recognize me by name and possibly box number. They are everything a small town post office should be.
First of they have a sign that says only seeing eye dogs allowed, not pets. Well that sign should be taken down. Because any service dog is allowed. The sign is in violation of the ADA rules and regulations. They have hours posted but do not follow them. This office is rude.
My mail is constantly going into the wrong mail boxes. I live in an apartment. I have an apartment number, it's right there on the stupid address of the envelope. I've lost my insurance 2 tines now because my mail hasnt got to me. Not to mention they don't take the mail that is supposed to be sent out. Instead it will sit in the outgoing box or 2-5 days. Seriously they need to get their act together. Hours are not consistent AT ALL and they refuse to ship items, but sell shipping boxes. Wtf.
